Use cases

Nature and climate decisions, sector by sector

How energy developers, infrastructure operators, cities and asset managers use Green PRAXIS.

Linear infrastructure crossing a natural landscape

Road, rail and energy: networks

Linear infrastructure

The challenge

Road, rail and power-line operators manage vast land holdings along their networks, with high ecological value and real maintenance costs — and the need to control operational risks such as invasive or hazardous vegetation.

The method

Satellite imagery, regulatory data and observation databases are combined into a reference "data cube": proximity to Natura 2000 and ZNIEFF zones, invasive species, biodiversity indicators and candidate areas for each objective.

The results

Land-use scenarios combining cost, biodiversity and risk indicators, with the development solutions applicable to each area — a micro and macro view to build and adapt the strategy.

Renewable energy

Industrial infrastructure

The challenge

Solar, wind and agrivoltaic developers screen dozens or hundreds of candidate sites. Discovering a protected species or a sensitive habitat after land acquisition can kill a project.

The method

GP-PREDIAG automates the preliminary assessment of candidate sites — habitats, probability of protected species, protection status, red flags by sub-plot — and compares the candidates.

The results

Sites with major blockers are deprioritised early; low-stake sites move forward with confidence. The process is consistent, auditable and feeds permitting.

Cities & urban planning

Climate adaptation

The challenge

Cities face floods, heat islands, soil sealing and biodiversity loss, and must arbitrate between building, redeveloping and restoring ecological continuity.

The method

Diagnostic indicators, then development solutions modelled on the site to compare plans on environmental and economic measures.

The results

Stakeholders compare development scenarios on objective metrics — costs, risks and biodiversity — instead of opinions.

Portfolios

The challenge

Managers of urban, semi-urban and forestry assets need a consistent view of dispersed portfolios to meet TNFD and CSRD obligations and set their strategy.

The method

Automated diagnostics at asset or portfolio level, aggregated in a dashboard with scoring and benchmarking by geography, asset class or risk profile.

The results

A portfolio-wide view of environmental exposure without costly field studies, to prioritise acquisitions, divestments and management actions.
